Fund-Raising
Event, FlashMob at Microsoft Office, Gurgaon, Harayana on Friday, 18th
October 2019:
On Friday, 18th October 2019,
at the Cyber City’s Microsoft
Office, Gurgaon, Harayana a fund-raising campaign was organized by the
volunteers of CRY. The volunteers conducted a Flash Mob. Around 1PM, the
volunteers, all clad in Yellow, danced on 3 songs, while the crowd appreciated
them.
The event was full of joy, energy and a lot
of fun. Volunteers also conducted some games where the participants had to
segregate M&Ms and Gems according to different colour groups. Many other
such exciting games were organized and winners were given Diyas(Earthen Lamp)
as a gift. It was a successful event; people from the age group from about 17 years
to approximately 30 years or so were the most active ones in the activities and
helped the fund-raising event to be a success.
Crowd-funding is an effective way to create
a broad base of new donors, as well as to spread awareness regarding the cause CRY-India
is working for. CRY-India has not only been able to broaden the base of new
donors or spread the buffer of awareness, but it has also been able to interact
with the crowd and address their concerns. With the help of such fund-raising
events, a social network is also formed which could be useful in the future.
Through fun events like games or engaging events like Flash Mobs, we try
demonstrate the need for public interference in the issues of Child Rights.
