CRY Reaches out to Mothers on Mother's Day

Over the years, CRY has worked intensively with children and generated smiles across millions of young faces. However, the efforts have not been limited to children as CRY recognizes the strength behind every child, the mother. This Mother’s day CRY decided to appreciate the efforts of every mother by helping the children create a token of gratitude for them. Volunteers Charvi Gupta and Anita Gupta planned a two day activity over 13 th and 14 th May at the Government Model School in Gurgaon, where each child was asked to create something special for their mother. The activity was divided into two parts. The first day the children were asked to write a letter to their mothers keeping in mind the memory they most cherished with them. The volunteers helped the kids to brainstorm through the different memories and assisted them to come up with the intricate and personal details that only showed how deeply the children were attached to their mothers. ‘PROJECT JYOTI’, Devika’s Story of Change

Having conducted a number of programs/ events as the Child Rights Leader (CRL) for Jesus and Mary college, 2016-2017, Devika Chopra’s journey is a tale of dedication and commitment towards bringing a change in the lives of underprivileged children. As the CRL for Child Rights and You (CRY), Devika undertook a wide array of events with a simple desire of adding a little something to the lives of those who were a part of the programme. From holding ‘Book Collection Drive’, setting up a bake sale, to organizing a plethora of after-school workshops such as clock making, origami and animal sensitization sessions, the Child Rights Leadership Program (CRLP) under Devika’s leadership has gone a step beyond spreading awareness amongst college students.  As a member of the JMC Education Program (an after-school tuition program for underprivileged children), Devika and her team were able to establish an association between the two programs with the sole aim of providing the few means that are r
